The threat of Covid-19 is now a valid reason for an absentee ballot. The Governor’s recent Executive Order makes it so (205.11). However, like everything else with the government, the steps are confusing and there are rigid deadlines. Here is a step-by-step guide you can vote by mail in New York on June 23, 2020.

Recall, the New York Presidential Primary was re-scheduled to June 23, and that is also the date of Congressional elections and New York State Legislature elections. So it’s an important primary election.
